The Tower tarot card
Major Arcana

The Tower

sudden change · revelation · collapse · clearing

Upright Meaning

The Tower falls when a foundation was never true. Expect a sudden shift — sometimes shocking, often overdue. What breaks was already ready to.

Symbolism

Lightning strikes a stone tower and knocks its crown clean off. Two figures fall into darkness against a rain of small yellow flames — the sparks of old beliefs being released. The lightning is truth arriving whether invited or not; the ground below is the honest earth you always had.

Love & Relationships

A hard truth surfaces. Painful, but honest ground follows.

Career & Money

Restructure, layoff, or a plan that must be scrapped. Rebuild on real ground.

Advice

Let it fall. You do not have to save what was never yours.

Reversed Meaning

Reversed, The Tower is a collapse delayed or a near miss. You may be propping something up that wants to fall, or slowly dismantling it yourself before it takes the roof with it. Either way, the honest ground is on the other side.

Reversed Advice

Take one brick down on purpose. Chosen change hurts less than the version that arrives on its own.
